Achievements of the Mathematician Michael Lacey

Michael Lacey refers to a famous American Mathematician born in the year 1959. He attended the University of Illinois at the Urbana-Champaign in the year 1987. It is from the University that he attained his Ph.D. His director at the Institution was Walter Philipp.

Mathematics is categorized into three areas. They include Statistics, Pure, and the Applied Mathematics. Probability is a specialization in statistics which also has a lot of content on its own.

The thesis of Michael Lacey was in the probability section by the Banach spaces. He also managed to solve a mathematical problem in connection with the rule of the iterated logarithm for the functions with empirical characteristics.

It is worth appreciating the fact that his work has been able to relate the sections of probability, the ergodic theory, and the most significant one being the harmonic analysis.

He is also quite experienced following having served in different positions over time since he graduated. In the course of his experience at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Michael Lacey together with Walter Philipp provided their proof regarding the almost certain theorem on the central limit.

Between the years 1989 and 1996, he served at Indiana University. At that time, he acquired a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the National Science Foundation. Additionally, he started studying alongside the bilinear Hilbert transform.

From the year 1996 up to date, he has been serving at the position of Professor of Mathematics at the George Institute of Technology. For his hard work, he acquired a Guggenheim Fellowship in the year 2004. He attained this from his unity with Xiaochun Li. In the year 2012, he became a member of the American Mathematical Society.
